Perspective Plotter

Perspective Plotter is an add-on for Blender that allows users to match a camera to an image in real time. This is useful for creating 3D models from 2D sketches, matching a 3D scene to a 2D photo, or animating a camera dynamically.

Perspective Plotter works by creating perspective guides that overlay the image. Users can then move these guides around until they match the perspective of the camera in Blender. Once the guides are matched, the camera’s focal length, location, and rotation will be automatically set.

Perspective Plotter also supports 1, 2, and 3 point perspective modes. This allows users to match the perspective of a wide variety of images.

In addition to matching the camera, Perspective Plotter can also be used to determine the scale of the scene. This is done by using a measuring guide that is overlaid on the image.

Perspective Plotter is a powerful tool that can be used to save time and improve the accuracy of 3D models. It is a must-have for any Blender user who works with 2D images.

Features of Perspective Plotter for Blender

  • Dynamically match the camera in real time using perspective guides. Perspective Plotter creates perspective guides that overlay the image. Users can then move these guides around until they match the perspective of the camera in Blender. Once the guides are matched, the camera’s focal length, location, and rotation will be automatically set.
  • Choose from 1, 2 or 3 point perspective modes. Perspective Plotter supports 1, 2, and 3 point perspective modes. This allows users to match the perspective of a wide variety of images.
  • Determine scale of the scene using a measuring guide. Perspective Plotter can also be used to determine the scale of the scene. This is done by using a measuring guide that is overlaid on the image.
  • Animate the camera using keyframe buttons. Perspective Plotter can be used to animate the camera by setting keyframes for the vanishing points. This is useful for creating dynamic camera movements.
  • Match background image proportions. Perspective Plotter can automatically match the proportions of the background image to the viewport. This is useful for ensuring that the perspective guides are accurate.
  • Flatten horizon line automatically. Perspective Plotter can automatically flatten the horizon line in the image. This is useful for making the perspective guides easier to see.
