KONEKT ELECTRA is the new generation of Shape-Based AutoRouting software for PC boards.

In contrast to traditional mesh maze routers, the shape-based approach allows for more efficient use of the routing area and is more suitable for handling SMD’s complex design rule requirements. high density or through hole board and achieve the highest route completion rate.

ELECTRA uses an efficient multipath cost-based collision reduction algorithm to find a routing solution that adapts to the natural flow of the network. ELECTRA is controlled by DFM and high speed layout rules. Each connection object can have its own minimum clearance and routing restrictions. The computer automatically combines the rules of all design objects based on their priority in the hierarchy. Networking classes and groups can be constrained to route on specific layers (impedance control) and use different rules for each layer. Different pass types can be specified for each connection. They can be used for example for current carrying and grounding requirements. The computer automatically finds a solution while respecting all user-defined rule constraints.
