Bentley’s WaterCAD software is a design application that helps you build hydraulic and water quality models for water distribution systems. Features of OpenFlows WaterCAD 2024
- WaterCAD contains two very useful modules, LoadBuilder and TRex, which help you allocate water needs and node elevations based on geographic data from shapefiles, DEMs and CAD drawings. Thereby, they help you avoid data entry errors and build models quickly.
- WaterCAD users can also use existing CAD drawings to directly create hydraulic connection models; import data from GIS; and create 2-way connections between shapefiles, databases, spreadsheets, and WaterCAD models.
- Water quality model
Water quality features in WaterCAD help you analyze water composition, age, tank mixing, and source footprint to develop comprehensive chlorination schedules that simulate emergency contamination events , visually presents the zones of influence of different water sources and improves turbidity, taste and odor by finding water mixing problems in the system. - The Pressure Zone Manager feature in WaterCAD helps you automatically find in a water distribution system areas with different water pressures and determine their characteristics.
