ASDIP Wood
ASDIP Wood is a specialized software within the ASDIP Structural Software suite, developed for the analysis, design, inspection, and optimization of timber structures such as beams, columns, load-bearing walls, and shear walls.
This software strictly adheres to the latest building codes, including the NDS (National Design Specification for Wood Construction) and SDPWS (Special Design Provisions for Wind and Seismic).
Features of ASDIP Wood
- ASDIP Wood boasts an intuitive graphical interface and is divided into 5 specialized modules, quickly solving structural problems from simple to complex:
- Wood Beam Design: Supports the design of continuous beams up to 5 spans and 2 cantilevers. Automatically calculates bending stress, shear stress, supports, and checks beam deflection. Supports a variety of materials: Sawn timber, Laminate plywood (Glulam), or Composite wood (Glulam/LVL). Generates visual shear and moment diagrams for each load combination.
- Wood Column Design: Analyzes columns subjected to uniaxial or biaxial eccentric loads. Accurately calculates the effects of slenderness effects and amplifying moments. Automatically generates 2D and 3D interaction diagrams ($P-M$ Interaction Diagram) for quick assessment of load-bearing capacity.
- Bearing Wall Design: Designs evenly spaced stud systems to withstand combined vertical (gravity) and out-of-plane (wind pressure) loads. Calculates slenderness ratio, eccentricity, and checks the strength of sheathing and studs.
- Shear Wall Design: Designs multi-layered shear walls with up to 5 layers and 5 stacked wall segments. Calculates the shear strength of the wall based on the frame configuration, cladding panels, and nailing configuration according to the SDPWS standard. Automatically calculates tensile/compressive forces at the chords and designs the hold-down connections.
- Wood Diaphragm Design: Checks the shear strength of the wood floor/roof system acting as a rigid membrane to transmit lateral loads (wind, earthquake) to the wall system. Designs the chords and collectors.

Instructions to install ASDIP Wood
- Turn off anti-virus software (Note also turn off Windows Defender)
- Unzip the downloaded software
- Install software
- Replace all files from “Cracked Files” folder to installed dir “C:\Program Files (x86)\ASDIP Wood4“
