Flow

Flow is an add-on extension for Blender designed based on the principle of node-based system – that is, all movements, conditions, and events are controlled by the node system. This tool allows users to create animations, simulate character behavior, cameras, objects or complex effects without writing code.

Unlike conventional animation tools, GamiFlow focuses on dynamic logic and reuse (reusable logic). Instead of creating keyframes manually, you can use nodes such as Trigger, Event, Action, Condition, Loop, Timer, State Machine… to build an automatic flow of activities for the scene.   • GamiFlow works on a network of nodes that allow users to connect actions, conditions, events, and outputs.
  • Each node represents an element in a sequence of activities, such as:
  • Event Node: Triggers when an event occurs (such as objects touching each other, pressing a key, or when the camera moves).

  • 2.2. Procedural Animation and Motion
  • One of the big advantages of GamiFlow is the ability to create procedural animations – meaning you can control movements based on changing parameters or real-world data.
  • For example:
  • When an object moves into a certain area, the camera automatically changes its perspective.
  • When the light reaches a certain intensity, a glow effect is triggered.
  • When the character collides with an obstacle, an automatic reaction animation takes place.
  • Everything is handled dynamically, giving you the flexibility to change or extend the behavior without having to redo the whole thing.
  • 2.3. Friendly and easy-to-learn interface
  • GamiFlow is deeply integrated into the Blender interface with a separate Node Editor window where you can drag and drop nodes, connect wires and see instant feedback.
  • Each node is clearly labeled, with a visual diagram describing the relationship between the elements in the scene.
  • Thanks to this, even if you have no programming experience, you can still easily create animation logic for your project.
  • 2.4. Integration with Blender’s physics and animation system
  • GamiFlow does not operate separately, but is directly linked to Blender’s native physics and animation system.
  • You can use events from the physics system, such as:
  • Collision
  • Gravity
  • Velocity or direction
  • Transform changes
  • This allows GamiFlow to act as a bridge between the logic and animation worlds, helping you create dynamic scenes that react to the environment, completely automatically.
  • 2.5. State Machine support
  • A professional feature in GamiFlow is the State Machine Node – a tool that helps simulate the state and behavior of objects.
  • For example, you can create a character with 3 states: Idle (standing still), Run (running), Jump (jumping). When the conditions change (key press, collision, out of energy…), GamiFlow will automatically switch states and change the animation accordingly.
  • This feature helps you build complex character logic or basic AI systems without using scripts.
  • 2.6. GamiFlow Event System – extended event system
  • GamiFlow’s Event system allows you to create custom triggers, such as:
  • When the frame reaches a specific frame number.
  • When the object is turned on/off.
  • When a value in a variable (e.g. height, speed, time) is reached.
  • When the user presses a key or clicks the mouse.
  • Thanks to the Event System, GamiFlow becomes flexible in both interactive animation and automatic animation.
