Ocean Waves Generator
Ocean Waves Generator is a script that efficiently creates a 2D mask of ocean waves in 3dsMax. It contains many wave styles, so it can be applied flexibly in Archviz projects while saving 3D artists much time.
Features
- Wave Height:
- Adjusts the vertical height of the waves. Increasing this value creates taller waves.
- Wave Length:
- Determines the distance between consecutive wave crests. It affects the overall look and feel of the ocean surface.
- Wave Speed:
- Controls the speed at which the waves move across the surface. This is useful for simulating different ocean conditions (e.g., calm seas vs. rough seas).
- Wind Direction:
- Sets the direction from which the wind is blowing, impacting the orientation and shape of the waves.
- Choppiness:
- Modifies the roughness of the surface, allowing you to simulate more turbulent ocean conditions.
- Time Offset:
- Affects the timing of the wave motion, which can help in creating a smooth, continuous animation loop.
- Subdivision Levels:
- Increases surface detail by adding more polygons to the ocean plane, which enhances the quality of the waves.
- Foam and Splash Control:
- Some versions allow you to add foam effects or create splashes to enhance realism, particularly near the shoreline or around objects interacting with the water.
